# $WEED Tokenomics 

**$WEED Token Overview**: **$WEED** is the currency powering the first open and\
decentralized protocol for lifestyle AI. Today, most AI is censored, biased, and gated for various for-profit agendas. The **$WEED** token stands for a counter movement against the shackles imposed on us by what has become an AI oligopoly. 

**$WEED** is the native token of the **Weed®** AI Network, powering the first Alternative AI agent ecosystem and lifestyle platform, and supporting secure, decentralized uncensored AI-based knowledge transfer. It plays a central role through the following use cases:

## <mark style="color:orange;">Transaction Fees</mark>

**$WEED** is used to pay for all network transactions, including data-related operations, smart contract executions, and interactions with other decentralized lifestyle-based projects and protocols building on top of the Weed ecosystem in the future. This establishes **$WEED** as the medium of exchange for activities within the ecosystem.

## <mark style="color:orange;">Trading Pairs</mark>

In the future as the **Weed®** AI ecosystem grows with other lifestyle brands\
and projects building on the protocol, **$WEED** will serve as the primary trading pair for all tokens issued, facilitating seamless exchange and interoperability across the ecosystem.

## <mark style="color:orange;">Data Token Ecosystem</mark>

The **Weed®** AI Network supports a dynamic ecosystem where\
lifestyle brands can issue their own tokens tied to specific consumerism-based utilities or rights. **$WEED** serves as the foundational token that interconnects these activities, fostering collaboration and enabling a robust data economy.

## <mark style="color:orange;">Governance</mark>

**$WEED** holders actively participate in the decentralized governance of the\
**Weed®** AI Network, voting on proposals and influencing key decisions. This supports decentralized decision-making and broad community involvement.<br>

At genesis, the Foundation of **Weed®** AI is responsible for the stewardship of the **$WEED** token and treasury. Part of governance will progressively transition to community control, ensuring a fair and inclusive approach to managing the ecosystem.This will expand the scope of decision-making, allowing participants to help shape the network’s direction and manage key parameters into the future.

The **$WEED** Community allocation focuses on fostering participation and\
rewarding contributors in the **$WEED** Network. This includes rewards for users of the **Weed®** AI platform, airdrops to early adopters, and support to developers building on **Weed®**. Future incentives will ensure sustained engagement and community alignment with **Weed®** AI’s vision.

## <mark style="color:orange;">Ecosystem</mark>

The **$WEED** Ecosystem allocation will ensure sustainability of the **Weed®** AI Network through grants and rewards that drive long-term growth of the broader ecosystem. This allocation will be for the purpose of network partnerships and rewards to incentivize network growth, innovation and adoption.

## <mark style="color:orange;">Investors</mark>

The **$WEED** Investor allocation is reserved for early supporters with a **3.5** year\
total vest (**6** month cliff plus **3** year unlock).

## <mark style="color:orange;">Core Contributors</mark>

The **$WEED** Core Contributors allocation is for the team behind the\
project bringing **$WEED** from concept to to the world, and that is central to the development of Network. All tokens distributed as part of the Core Contributors allocation are subject to a **4** year vest (**6** month cliff and **3** year unlock).
